Trex publishes sustainability report

Report includes a review of environment, social and governance programs.
Trex Company, the decking and railing manufacturer, has published its 2018 Sustainability Report.

Included in the report is a review of Trex’s strategy and performance on environmental, social and governance (ESG) programs and initiatives. The report was prepared using the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) Building Products & Furnishings standards and is supplemented with topics of interest to leading industry ratings agencies, the Winchester, Va.-based company said.

“Sustainability practices are an integral part of our history, our strategy and our day-to-day operations,” said Jim Cline, president and CEO of Trex.

“As the largest recycler of plastic bags in the United States, and a major user of recycled aluminum and steel, Trex is able to offer consumers the highest quality decking and railings available in the marketplace – together with the assurance that our products are environmentally sound,” Cline added.

Trex products are stocked in more than 6,700 retail locations worldwide, the company said. The full report is available here.
