Drexel Building Supply acquires Truss Systems

10/19/2018
Drexel Building Supply – freshly crowned as the HBSDealer and NLBMDA 2018 Pro Dealer of the Year – has acquired Truss Systems, a manufacturer of floor and roof truss systems in Wisconsin. The operation will be re-bannered as Drexel Truss Systems.

The current leadership team at Truss Systems: Steve Szymanski, Sean Whalen, Jeff Gosda, and Terry Schneider, will continue at Drexel Truss Systems in their roles and continue to manage the day to day operations of the organization.

Drexel said it looks forward to merging its Drexel team culture with 50 new team members from Truss Systems. Drexel Truss Systems will continue to serve the roofing and floor system needs in the Fox Valley and Green Bay market.

In a statement issued by Drexel, the dealer said Truss Systems “complements what Drexel provides to its clients and will be a great asset to provide roof and floor truss systems for the Drexel Wrightstown location.”

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“Merging Truss Systems into the Drexel fold will only strengthen Drexel’s service to its clients, as Truss Systems has a great reputation in the surrounding market. Furthermore, Drexel expanding into roof, floor and wall system manufacturing will continue to provide growth opportunities for our customers, suppliers, and team members,” the pro dealer said.

Drexel Building Supply was presented with 2018 Pro Dealer of the Year award earlier this week at the Pro Dealer Industry Summit in Chicago.
