Festool USA is releasing a new Energy Set to complement the company’s cordless power tool line.

The company said the release is key to providing users with unmatched mobility on the jobsite and in the workshop.

The Energy Set includes four lithium-ion batteries and a rapid charger packaged in the durable Systainer transport system. Compatible with all Festool 18V tools (except cordless sanders), the new Energy Set helps to ensure that the jobsite stays powered up and efficient.

Festool’s new AirStream technology rapidly cools the battery and allows for 60 percent faster charging compared to previous generation chargers.

“Festool has released many exciting, cordless tools in the past year, from the TID 18 Impact Driver to the TSC 55 K track saw because we know how important mobility is to our customers,” said Rick Bush, product marketing manager at Festool USA. “They depend on our cordless tools to be long-lasting and offer rapid charging while still providing the same premium performance for which Festool has always been known.”

The Energy Set includes two compact 4.0 Ah Lithium-ion batteries and two 5.2 Ah Lithium-ion batteries, each with the advanced Bluetooth capabilities that enable tool-triggered start when paired with a properly equipped Festool CT Dust Extractor.

Each battery pack is protected by electronic monitoring of voltage and temperature and contains an LED display that clearly shows remaining battery capacity. The Energy Set features Festool’s best rapid charger — the SCA 8 — which means the Festool cordless user experiences minimal downtime on the jobsite.

As with all Festool tools, the Energy Set is backed by a 3-year all-inclusive warranty by which Festool covers wear-and-tear on its tools and accessories.
