Menards has plans to build a new location in Green Township, Ohio, roughly 11 miles northwest of Cincinnati.

According to a report filed by the Cincinnati Enquirer, the new Menards location has been proposed for Harrison Ave.

The plan calls for the razing of a vacant Kroeger building and parking lot.

Menards then intends to build a new 173,204-square-foot store. The location will include an additional 27,678 square feet of garden center space along with a 42,698-square-foot lumberyard.

According to the Regional Hamilton County Planning Commission, which has approved zoning changes for the project, the new Menards location represents a $14 million investment. About 150 employees are expected to be hired.

Menards already operates four stores in the Greater Cincinnati area, including Loveland, Evendale, Hamilton, and Florence.

The Midwest home improvement kingpin operates more than 300 stores in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.
