The random orbit sanding motion achieves a high surface quality on walls and ceilings, said the company; the tool comes to market March 15.

Festool, a power tool solutions firm, announced a new drywall sander, the Planex M.

“We’ve focused on creating a tool that is easy to use, has excellent surface quality, and reduces strain; making it the perfect upgrade or addition to any professional’s toolkit,” said Rick Bush, sr. product marketing manager.

The Lebanon, Indiana-based company said the sander, “redefines the sanding pattern with its easy-to-use interface.”

Its working length of 55 inches, or 1.4 meters, is ideal for all standard room heights.

With the ergonomic design of a T-handle, the machine is “highly controllable and comfortable while being able to reach most surfaces,” said the company.

The company also said it provides virtually dust-free sanding with dust extraction in combination with the CT 36 E AC Planex dust extractor.

“Our customers are at the heart of everything we do, and the Planex M is a testament to Festool’s commitment to innovation and user-centric design,” said Bush.
