Woodgrain announced that it has purchased Lowe’s Thomasville millwork door shop in Lexington N.C.

The millwork manufacturer said the move increases its position in the southeast while bolstering Woodgrain’s millwork and door manufacturing capabilities and presence within Lowe’s home improvement stores across the Southeast and Mid Atlantic.

This marks the second former Lowe’s millwork door shop acquired by Woodgrain in 2021. Woodgrain purchased the White House, Tenn. millwork location in July.

Financial terms of this transaction were not disclosed.

Located in central North Carolina, the acquired door shop has been operating since 1986.

With the new acquisition, Woodgrain will supply Lowe's stores with ReliaBilt interior and Therma-Tru Benchmark exterior doors across the Southeast and Mid Atlantic.

“The Thomasville Millwork door shop has an excellent reputation for quality and service, and we are thrilled to welcome their highly skilled associates to the Woodgrain family,”  said Todd Dame, president of Woodgrain Distribution. “This acquisition will allow us to expand our manufacturing capabilities, while further enhancing our vertical integration, which plays an integral part in delivering on our commitment of creating quality millwork products.”

Based in Fruitland, Idaho, Woodgrain produces producer mouldings, doors, and windows.

The company operates five divisions and more than 30 manufacturing facilities in the United States and South America.
