White Cap L.P., the distributor of specialty construction supplies and safety products for professional contractors, has finalized its deal to acquire substantially all of the assets of Tri-Boro Construction Supplies.

Based in Pennsylvania, Tri-Boro Construction Supplies distributes concrete accessories and construction supplies.

"Through Tri-Boro's strong local presence, dedicated team, and product offerings, we look forward to continuing to support our customers in the Northeast with an even broader product and service offering as part of the White Cap family," said John Stegeman, CEO of White Cap.

Founded in 1974, Tri-Boro started with concrete deliveries and quickly expanded to offer a wide range of tools, equipment, and services for residential and commercial job sites, including full rebar fabrication services.

Tri-Boro has locations in Dallastown and Carlisle, Pennsylvania.

The acquisition was first announced by the companies last month. The financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

A Great Workplace

In other news, White Cap announced today that it has been certified by Great Place to Work, an authority on workplace culture and employee experience.

The certification is granted based on employee feedback gathered through an anonymous survey using the Trust index to measure credibility, respect, pride, camaraderie, and fairness in the organization, according to White Cap.

To be certified, Great Place to Work requires 7/10 employees to report a positive experience with the organization. White Cap said it received 81% positive scoring, 24% higher than the average U.S. company.

"Our culture starts with our associates, and it is them that I thank for White Cap receiving this certification," Stegeman said. "Together, they have created an inclusive culture where everyone feels welcome, all voices are heard, and differences are celebrated."

In March, White Cap also received the Top Workplaces 2023 award by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution for the second year running.

Based in Atlanta, White Cap operates more than 450 branches in North America and employs over 9,000 associates. The company has multiple brands in the United States and Canada, including Brafasco, Brock White, and NCA.

White Cap and its affiliates serve as a one-stop shop providing concrete accessories and chemicals, tools and equipment, building materials and fasteners, erosion and waterproofing products, and safety products to professional contractors.
