Cordless 9-inch angle grinder provides more power than firm’s earlier grinders.

Metabo, a manufacturer of pro-grade cordless and corded hand-held power tools, has introduced the 9-inch 18V brushless angle grinder.

With 8.0 Ah batteries and ASC 145 duo charger it has, “nearly 40% longer run time, 60% more cutting performance, and 15% better cutting speed vs. our predecessor model,” said Joseph Masters, senior product manager.

At 2400W, the grinder is, “the most powerful machine in the Metabo fleet of cordless angle grinders, providing an industry-leading max cutting depth of three inches for extreme-duty materials and applications,” said the firm.

Standard safety features include an electronic safety clutch, fast brake system, non-locking paddle switch, and rotatable handle for safer handling.

The company said it offers cordless and corded angle grinders from 4 1⁄2-inch to 9-inch for the professional user all the way to the entry level user; and also has an expansive range of slicers, grinding wheels and accessories.

Engineered in Germany, Metabo, a brand within Koki Holdings America Ltd., the North American division of Koki Holdings Co., makes power tools for professional users.
