Northeast Building Supply brings Crane Woodworking on board

Northeast Group Holdings LLC, aka Northeast Building Supply, announced that it is acquiring Crane Woodworking.

Based in Bridgeport, Conn., Northeast, provides professional builders, architects, and remodelers with building products, premium windows, and millwork from locations in New Canaan and Cornwall Bridge, Conn., along with Mamaroneck, N.Y., and Long Branch, N.J. The distributor was founded in 1988.

Crane Woodworking is a manufacturer and installer of custom architectural millwork for high-end homes and businesses in the New England region. The company was founded in 1985 and is located in South Norwalk, Conn.

“We considered many options while looking for a business partner and Northeast Group Holdings was the best choice for our customers, our employees and our community,” said Doug Crane, president of Crane Woodworking. “Northeast Group Holdings brings a wealth of industry experience and the resources of a larger operation which, combined with Crane’s specialty in architectural millwork will produce great synergy.”

The Crane Woodworking banner will remain in place along with the company president, and employees including senior managers at Crane’s.

The financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Kellick & Associates served as the exclusive advisor to Northeast Building Supply.
