YETI opens a flagship store

YETI has recently opened a new flagship store in Austin, Texas, billed as a retail and community event space with live music and film screenings, an indoor/outdoor bar, product customization station, outdoor-themed installations and more.

The new store, located at 220 South Congress Ave., opened its doors on Feb. 23 and spans 8,000 sq. ft.

In the company's words, the store "elevates the consumer experience by inspiring visitors to go out and explore the wild, capturing a core tenet of the brand."

In addition to the features mentioned above, the store will also display various historical artifacts from YETI, such as prized possessions from founders Roy and Ryan Seiders (both Austin locals).

"The YETI flagship store is a convergence of the lifestyle we stand for, the products we offer and the community we live in," CEO Matt Reintjes said. "It's a gathering spot for locals and out-of-towners to enjoy a cold beer, listen to music, watch a film or learn from a pro."

The store is also part of Austin's South Central Waterfront Initiative.
