TW Perry names new president

TW Perry, a leading pro dealer in the Washington, D.C.-Baltimore area, has named Michael Cassidy as its new president. Cassidy, who takes over for the retiring Rich Cortese, will continue as chief operating officer.

Cassidy joined TW Perry as COO in June 2008. Prior to that he worked for the Strober Organization as VP corporate development. Following the company’s purchase by ProBuild Holdings, Cassidy continued in that role, working in mergers and acquisitions. He also held the title of senior VP manufacturing, overseeing 18 East Coast truss plants.

Cassidy also worked as an executive at United Technologies, an engineering and operations manager at Kimberly-Clark, and a captain in the Marine Corps, where he trained and commanded special operation teams.

Founded in 1911, TW Perry is headquartered in Gaithersburg, Md., and serves the Washington, D.C.-Baltimore area with six locations. The company ranks No. 52 on the Home Channel News Top 350 Pro Dealer Scoreboard, with $117.5 in revenues in 2008.
