"Jennifer Weber has decided to leave the company, and we thank her for her leadership, enthusiasm and dedication to Lowe’s over the past four years,” Lowe’s said in a statement.

Lowe’s did not provide any additional details regarding Weber’s departure.

Janice Little, Lowe’s senior vice president of talent management and diversity will take over as the company’s top human resources officer until a permanent replacement is named, Lowe's told HBSDealer.

The Mooresville, N.C. home improvement retailer recently announced that it was hiring an additional 30,000 employees in addition to the 50,000 it planned to bring on board for its busy spring season.

The retailer also just announced that it will be closed on Easter Sunday, April 12. CEO Marvin Ellison said the company is taking steps to ensure that hourly associates will not lose scheduled hours or see a reduction in pay due to the closing.

The company has about 2,200 stores in the United States and Canada and 300,000 associates.
