The Commerce Department’s residential construction report set off no celebrations, but at least it showed a gain over the previous month’s downwardly revised estimates. The government’s updated retail sales figures for NAICS 444 and 44413 were also lackluster, but positive on a year-over-year basis. Elsewhere on the Dashboard: gas prices decreased 7 cents per gallon over the last month.
