Promotion at PPG

PPG made some executive moves with an emphasis on innovation.

The company announced Jane Valenta will become VP technical, global architectural coatings. In this new role, she will lead the global architectural coatings technical teams in developing a "robust products-innovation process and new technologies to support PPG's growth," the company said. She is currently VP, environment, health and safety.

Taking her place as VP EHS will be Mark Cancilla, who is currently global platform director for coatings in PPG's aerospace business.

PPG reported net sales of $14.8 billion in 2015.
