PrimeSource makes acquisition

PrimeSouce Building Products, the Carrollton, Texas-based distributor, has announced the acquisition of the assets of 3-G Supply, a distributor with locations in Cleveland and East Brunswick, N.J. The purchase price was not disclosed.

Headquartered in Strongsville, Ohio, 3-G was a family owned business that specializes in fasteners. The company is 35 years old.

“The acquisition of 3-G Supply is going to fulfill a geographic need for PrimeSource,” said Ken Fishbein, co-CEO of PrimeSource. 3-G Supply has complementary products lines, Fishbein said, and will mark PrimeSource’s entry into the Cleveland market.
