Poll Question: Whither Housing Starts?

4/22/2019
Back in January, the NAHB forecast 1.27 million total housing starts for 2019. Those results were partially (though not entirely) endorsed by the results of an HBSDealer.com survey on the subject earlier this year.

In January and February, total housing starts declined compared to their corresponding months in 2018. And then, in March, total housing starts declined 14% year over year. Furthermore, the pace of total housing starts has shown year-over-year declines for the last six months in a row.

Those numbers bring us to this week’s poll question: Based on the first quarter, are you lowering your expectations for 2019 housing starts?

The poll is open and ready for votes on the right side of this page, or scroll down your mobile device.
