PACOA reports growth at spring market

Port Washington, New York-based distributor PACOA reported a 15% increase in attendance and sales at its Annual Spring Dealer Market.


The event, held at Queens College in New York City March 7-8 included 50 new dealers in attendance, according to the company.


More than 200 vendors participated in the market, at which dealers were able to take advantage of savings through the “Door Buster” promotions offering deep discounts on top selling items available only for attendees.


PACOA serves dealers in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, New England, Mid-Atlantic and the Midwest with paint, hardware, lumber, janitorial, electrical and building supplies.


Among the new vendors were Alltrade, Dad’s Easy Spray Paint & Varnish Remover, Frog Tape, Gaco, Mag-Torch, Vermont Natural Coatings, Olfa, Paint Scentsations, Pulsar and Zep. They also introduced line expansions to their private brands G-Force and Paint-Force.


PACOA’s next show will be the Fall Dealer Market also at Queens College, Sept.19-20.


PACOA’s Port Washington warehouse is a six-acre, 92,000-sq.-ft. operation and carries 15,000 SKUs.


Last year, PACOA became one of the nine distributor members of Distribution America.
