LG names a Home Appliances exec

LG Electronics USA has promoted John Riddle to the role of senior VP sales for its Home Appliances segment.

The move will put Riddle in an even greater position to grow LG's stake in the home appliance market.

"Under John's leadership, LG's home appliance sales in regional channels have grown significantly," said president and CEO William Cho. "With his experience, expertise and leadership skills, we expect that momentum to continue for LG home appliances in the U.S."

Riddle has been with the company since 2011, when he joined as VP regional home appliance sales.

Previously, he worked for Maytag for more than 20 years in various sales management positions. He also held a number of positions including sales VP at Philips Consumer Electronics, VP sales & marketing at Fleetwood Housing Group and RV Products, and product manager for North American Built-In Products at Electrolux.

He comes from a multi-generational background of appliance knowhow. His family's appliance and television dealership in Central Pennsylvania has been around for more than 70 years.

Other promotions include John Hollen, who is now VP OEM appliance sales. Hollen and John Herring, who continues in his role as VP national accounts, Home Appliances, will report to Riddle.
