HMA elects Bob Miller as president

The board of directors of the Hardwood Manufacturers Association has elected Bob Miller of Frank Miller Lumber Company in Union City, Ind., as president of the HMA.

Other HMA officers for 2018 are VP Troy Brown from Kretz Lumber Company in Antigo, Wis., and executive VP Linda Jovanovich from HMA in Pittsburgh, Pa.

HMA board of directors also elected members to the executive committee, including:

• Hal Mitchell — Atlanta Hardwood Corp., Mableton, Ga.;


• Jason Ayer — Cersosimo Lumber Co., Inc., Brattleboro, Vt.;


• Tommy Petzoldt — East Perry Lumber Company, Frohna, Mo.;


• Brian Schilling — Pike Lumber Co., Inc., Akron, Ind.;


• T. J. Rosengarth — Northwest Hardwoods, Inc., Tacoma, Wash.; and


• past president Richard Wilkerson — Anderson-Tully Co., Vicksburg, Miss.

The membership elected HMA directors at the National Conference. They are:

• Norm Steffy — Cummings Lumber Company, Inc., Troy, Pa.;


• Brian Schilling — Pike Lumber Co., Inc., Akron, Ind.;


• Steve Jones — Ron Jones Hardwood Sales, Inc., Union City, Pa.; and


• Gus Welter — Welter Forest Products, Inc., Marathon City, Wis.

New members appointed to the HMA NextGen Leaders Council, formerly known as the HMA Millennial Council, are:

• Richard Buchanan — Granite Hardwoods, Inc., Granite Falls,N.C.;


• Logan Josey — Josey Lumber Company, Inc., Scotland Neck, N.C.;


• Jason Dallas — Stella-Jones Corporation, Pittsburgh, Pa.; and

Based in Pittsburgh, the HMA is a national trade organization with membership limited to U.S. hardwood lumber producers and processors.
