Hancock Lumber is the “private” focus for Inc.

In its 2020 “Private Titans” section – showcasing dynamic, private companies – Inc. magazine takes a closer look at Hancock Lumber.

Within the section, Inc. examines how Hancock Lumber has survived 11 major economic downturns, partly by turning to global selling while continuing to act locally.

The article describes Hancock Lumber, based in Casco, Maine, as a “testimony to the way the globalized economy seeps into the deepest corners of America--and how a 172-year-old family business accelerated by successfully adapting to it.”
