Gema becomes part of Graco Corp.

Indianapolis-based Gema, make of powder coating equipment, began operating as a new business unit of the Graco Corporation, effective April 2.

“The addition of the Gema Powder Finishing business to Graco’s existing finishing operations is highly strategic and complementary,” said Patrick J. McHale, Graco’s president and CEO. “It allows the Company access to attractive end markets; the global distribution base of Gema is strong and growing; the emerging market exposure is highly attractive; and the brand name is well established with end users as a high quality, technological leader.”

Gema will operate as a separate business unit and customers and industry partners will see no change in how the company conducts business, the company said.
