Drexel Building Supply has opened its newest location in Columbus, Wis.

Measuring in at more than 14,000-square-feet, the store marks Drexel’s 7th location in the state. In addition to serving as a lumber yard, the Columbus location also offers a design center for cabinetry, countertops, and other services.

In a statement announcing the opening, Drexel said its mission is to “Supply Happiness through providing name brand quality building materials and services.”

According to Drexel, the Columbus outlet will meet a growing demand for building supplies in the greater Madison area including residential, remodeling, multi-family, and commercial construction clients.

Based in Campbellsport, Wis., the pro dealer was formerly named Campbellsport Building Supply.

Owner Joel Fleischman said, “Drexel has grown by providing a world class buying experience to our customers. We wouldn’t be here today if it was not for the local communities and the local builders. They have not only become our customers, but our friends.”

Company team leader Keith Batenhorst will run the Columbus operation.

“We strive to have fun every day, work very hard, and take care of our clients. We pride ourselves on our relationships with our contractors and homeowners.  We are actively involved in all the communities that we call ‘HOME’ and our team is looking forward to becoming a part of Columbus community,” Batenhorst said.

Drexel supplies and delivers lumber and building materials, cabinets, countertops, windows, doors, millwork, decking, roofing, and siding, in addition to providing home design services.
