Columbus, Ohio-based Dorcy, the flashlight leader, introduced the Dorcy Metal Gear XLM (extreme lumen) LED aluminum flashlight.  Producing 618 lumens from a single LED chip, the new high-performance flashlight provides a beam distance of up to 1,100 ft.

Operating on six AA alkaline batteries that drive a Cree XM-L LED module, the new LED flashlight will run for more than five hours on its high setting and more than 25 hours on low, the company said. The LED aluminum flashlight is machined from aerospace grade anodized material. It features Dorcy’s TrueSpot Optimized Reflector System and a side-mounted push button switch with high and low setting. The 41-0435 is Dorcy’s brightest flashlight; it has been tested to the new ANSI FL1 flashlight standards and is IPX-4 water resistant. The new LED aluminum flashlight measures 9 ins. by 1.5 ins. and weighs in at 9.9 ounces (15.5 ounces with batteries).
