Boral amps up capacity for TruExterior

2/20/2018

Boral is doubling the manufacturing capacity for its TruExterior Siding & Trim in response to increasing demand for the poly-ash siding and trim.

The expansion is in addition to the recent creation of a 120,000-sq-ft. finishing facility in Salisbury, North Carolina, where the products are currently manufactured. The expansion will ensure the company can keep up with the current pace of growth, and it will also allow for continued product line development with Boral’s Innovation Factory, including the 8-inch and 10-inch Bevel Siding profiles coming this fall.

As many as 23 new employees will be hired in Salisbury in addition to the new facility and equipment.

“Unprecedented market interest and adoption of Boral TruExterior Siding & Trim is driving a rapid expansion in our dealer and distributor base,” said Ken Bruns, plant manager. “By adding equipment and employees, we’re ensuring a steady supply of siding and trim across all profiles to meet the needs of existing and new end users.”

“This investment is consistent with Boral’s strategy for growth in the U.S., leveraging our innovative platform to help transform the U.S. business,” added Brian Below, president - Light Building Products Division.
