New South Construction Supply, LLC (NSCS) reported that it has acquired Increte of North Florida, a concrete construction material distributor and supplier based in Jacksonville, Fla.

Increte of North Florida will now operate under the New South Construction Supply name. The deal was finalized on Nov. 1. The financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

This acquisition provides New South Construction Supply its first location in Florida, where NSCS said it forward to doing business with more companies in the state and also in the Caribbean.

“I am happy to welcome Grant Denny, president and CEO of Increte of North Florida, and his employees to the New South team,” said Jim Sobeck, president and CEO of New South Construction Supply. “We look forward to learning more about the road and bridge business from them and expanding their business into the fabricated rebar and the tilt-up construction space. For our first foray into Florida, we could not think of a better fit for our business and for our customers.”

According to Abhi Singh, chief operating officer of NSCS, this acquisition is the company’s foundation for expansion into the Florida market.

“Our customers have clearly expressed they want a service-first partner, not just a vendor, and we look forward to filling that void for them throughout the Southeast,” Singh said.

Based in Greenville, S.C., New South Construction Supply operates branches in West Columbia, Charleston, Myrtle Beach and Hardeeville (Hilton Head Island/Savannah, Ga.), S.C.; Charlotte, Greensboro, and Garner (Raleigh/Durham), N.C.; Atlanta; and Jacksonville, Fla.

The company specializes in concrete and masonry accessories, rebar and wire mesh, tilt-up construction, waterproofing materials, and many other construction products for both commercial and residential construction projects.

Founded in 1981, New South Construction Supply is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year.
