Nation’s Best, the rapidly growing home improvement retailer, has expanded again with the addition of Timberline Builders Supply.

The acquisition marks Nation’s Best’s entry into Colorado and brings the company's total location count to a mix of 55 home centers, home improvement stores, and yards in 17 states.

Timberline Building Supply is based in Walden, Colorado and has been owned by Mike and Melanie Leaverton. The dealer offers lumber and building supplies along with hardware while serving as a farm and ranch retailer.

“Their comprehensive home center with a diverse mix of hardlines, lumber and building materials, rental, and farm and ranch—a growing category among Nation’s Best locations—really made Timberline an appealing addition,” said Chris Miller, president and CEO of Nation's Best. “Mike and Melanie’s team has built a great reputation for their accessible and efficient store, ensuring it is seen as the continued best choice in their community.”

As part of Nation’s Best’s successful branding strategy, Timberline Builders Supply will maintain operations under its existing name with its leadership team overseeing company operations alongside Nation’s Best, which will provide the strategic and financial support necessary to drive optimal growth and profitability.

“We look forward to Mike staying on with Nation’s Best in a more scaled-back capacity, which will allow us to tap into his extensive operational knowledge, while affording him and his wife Melanie more time with their kids and grandkids,” Miller said.

Earlier this month, Nation’s Best added locations in Alexandria and Bellevue, Kentucky with the acquisition of Pilot Lumber.

Based in Dallas, Texas, Nation’s Best Holdings LLC was founded in 2019.
