MoistureShield, a brand of Oldcastle APG, is partnering with Amerhart, an operating brand of Specialty Building Products, to expand distribution of its comprehensive composite decking portfolio in Jackson and Traverse City, Michigan.

“Michigan’s expansive coastal area makes for the perfect market to bring our composite decking portfolio’s many features and benefits,” said Matthew Bruce, vice president of sales at MoistureShield and Barrette Outdoor Living. “Our partnership with Amerhart provides not only a distribution platform, but also a strong dealer network as we continue to strengthen MoistureShield’s position as the innovative leader in the non-wood decking market segment.”

“We are thrilled that Amerhart is now the proud distributor of MoistureShield at our two Michigan locations,” said Rick Jolly, Amerhart branch manager. “With MoistureShield’s cutting-edge product portfolio that is ideally suited to perform in any environment, we’re set to accelerate the growth of the composite decking category across the state of Michigan.”

All MoistureShield products feature the “Solid Core Difference” to ensure moisture resistance and enable installation in the ground, on the ground or even underwater. MoistureShield’s premium Vision line of capped composite decking features industry-leading DiamondDefense Coating and CoolDeck Technology, which helps reduce heat absorption by up to 35% compared to standard composite boards in similar colors.

MoistureShield’s Meridian line features a TruTexture Surface, a low-profile wood grain pattern that evokes the look and feel of real wood without the inconvenient maintenance. Rounding out the capped product offering is the entry-level Elevate line; while Vantage uncapped composite decking provides dependable workability beyond wood, with composite performance.
