Metabo HPT has introduced the latest addition to its MultiVolt System.

The 36V MultiVolt Cordless 1-1/8” SDS Plus Rotary Hammer (model DH36DPA) offers corded performance with the convenience of a cordless tool. The compact and lightweight rotary hammer has the power to drill up to 120 holes per charge, according to Metabo HPT.

Like all 36V MultiVolt tools, it accepts any MultiVolt battery for extreme power and can also accept the unique 36V AC adapter to plug in for all-day runtime offering ultimate versatility and power on the go.

With Brushless motor technology, this rotary hammer delivers high impact energy (2.2  ft-lbs) and fast drilling speeds (1,100 RPM/4,300 BPM) for demolition applications. With 3 modes, drilling, hammering & hammer drilling, a responsive variable speed trigger, and weighing only 7-lbs, it’s easy to use in overhead applications or for all-day use.

The power tool accepts SDS Plus bit shanks and has a 1-1/8” capacity in concrete, ½” capacity in steel, and 1-1/4” capacity in wood.

The ergonomic design of the handle grip being in alignment with the drill bit head makes it easier to apply drilling force. Changing bits is fast and easy with a one-push bit mounting system. The on-tool LED light is convenient when working in dark spaces.

Users can work safely if the tool bit is suddenly overburdened during operation as the Reactive Force Control (RFC) automatically engages and stops the motor before the entire tool jerks, Metabo HPT said.
