McCoy's Building Supply names Lockhart manager

Zach Dauer will helm the new Texas location opening in June.

McCoy’s Building Supply has appointed Zach Dauer as store manager of its Lockhart, Texas location. 

The new store is slated to open in  June with a grand opening celebration to follow. The prodealer broke ground on the location May 2023.

“I am looking forward to being back in the area,” Dauer said. “My wife and I met in San Marcos, and we’d frequently visit Lockhart to get barbeque with friends and family who were visiting from out of town.”

Dauer joined McCoy’s four years ago at the company’s Bastrop location. He enrolled in the company’s Management Development Program and served as assistant manager in Bastrop and Tomball, Texas after completing his management training. Most recently, Dauer was store manager of McCoy’s Duncan, Oklahoma location.

“Opening a new store is an exciting challenge, and I’m ready to build relationships throughout the local community,” Dauer said.  “Customers can expect our team in Lockhart to provide exceptional customer service that is helpful, friendly, and timely, to help them with all their project needs,” said Dauer.

The new Lockhart store’s interior retail area will be arranged according to McCoy’s distinctive easy-in, easy-out design offering tools, paint, household essentials and more. 

The store will carry high-quality building materials and farm and ranch products for a wide range of projects, available in store and online with ship-to-store options. The location will also include a large, covered, drive-thru lumberyard and a fleet of forklifts and delivery trucks. 

“We’ll aim to provide dependable service our customers for whatever projects they have,” Dauer added.

Based in San Marcos, Texas, McCoy’s more than 3,000 people and operates 86 stores, 3 distribution centers and 2 millwork facilities in Texas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico.
