STAT: In the first two months of 2022, unit sales of freezers increased more than 80% compared to the same period in 2021.

ANALYSIS:  “The consumer’s return to the office, school, and evening and weekend activities, brings back time pressure and a greater need for convenience,” said Joe Derochowski, home industry advisor at NPD Group. “Consumers often leverage the convenience of frozen foods and leftovers when time-crunched, which creates a greater need for freezer space.”
