L&W Supply announces leadership promotions

Building products distributor L&W Supply has announced new leadership promotions.

Dave Hovekamp has accepted the role of district manager for Northern California. 

The new district manager comes from an extensive background in the building materials industry, holding several sales and operational leadership positions over the past 19 years. Most recently, he worked at L&W Supply as the West Region operations manager, helping drive safety and compliance.

As district manager of Northern California, Hovekamp will be responsible for the management of L&W Supply’s branches in the district, including West Sacramento, San Francisco and San Jose, along with a focus on developing talent and providing world-class customer service.

“Dave’s personal values and leadership philosophy will be a huge benefit to the team in Northern California,” said Chad Cutlip, West Region vice president. “His resume and career experience is impressive, and we’re looking forward to seeing the kind of impact he can make in his new role at L&W Supply.”

L&W Supply also announced that Evan Jaques has been promoted to branch manager of the company’s Milwaukee, Wis., location.

Jaques started his career in the trucking industry before moving to building materials. Most recently, he worked as a sales rep for L&W Supply in Milwaukee. Additionally, Jaques spent eight years in the United States Marine Corps, earning the rank of sergeant and serving three tours overseas.

“Evan has an impressive sales record, and his unique life experiences give him a strong perspective on our industry,” said Charles Collins, Central Region vice president. “As a veteran, Evan has proven that he has a passion for leadership and a true team spirit that perfectly aligns with our core values at L&W Supply.”

As branch manager of the Milwaukee, Wisconsin, location, Jaques will be responsible for leading L&W Supply’s customer service representatives, delivery drivers and other associates to give them the support they need to provide service.

Based in Chicago, L&W Supply operates more than 180 locations in 35 states. The company is a subsidiary of ABC Supply.
