84 Lumber Builds in Florida

2/20/2018

Lumberyard chain 84 Lumber will celebrate the grand opening of its Ruskin, Florida, location on Aug. 5. The store will be the company’s 14th location in the state the company describes as a hotbed of residential building activity.

“We have a strong presence in the southeast and continue to grow in that region,” said 84 Lumber’s chief operating officer Frank Cicero. “With the opening of our store in Ruskin, we’ll better service customers and shape the future of the region.”

The company is bullish on the Southeast in general and Florida in specific. It points to a recent Tampa Bay Times article indicating the state has  experienced a steady increase in population, indicating a need for more residential housing options. In response, 84 Lumber’s store in Ruskin will provide both professional contractors and DIYers an alternative solution for their building materials and lumber needs. With more than 4,000 square feet at its retail location, Ruskin will be the fourteenth 84 Lumber store in Florida building upon an existing footprint which includes Fort LauderdaleOrange Park, and Plant City.

The company has expressed interest in building upon its national presence of more than 250 locations and said it will continue to explore opportunities for expansion and has several more grand openings on the docket for Q3.

Located at 6301 US Highway 41 South, Ruskin, Florida, 33570, the store will offer customers diverse kitchen and bath options, a variety of door and windows, installation services and a large inventory of engineered wood products.

The Aug. 5 grand opening celebration will include a tour of the showroom and one of 84 Lumber’s tiny house models. Attendees are also eligible for an $840 shopping spree.
