Honsador Lumber was recently honored with the “Chamber's Choice” award by the Kona-Kohala Chamber of Commerce.

The Kapolei, Hawaii-based prodealer was presented with the award at the Living and Design Home Expo, surrounded by chamber members.

Honsador Lumber has been a member of LMC, the Wayne, Pennsylvania-based lumber and building materials buying group, since 2010. LMC said the award is a testament to Honsador Lumber’s commitment to local resources and community support.

The dealer traces its roots back to 1935 when it began as Honolulu Sash and Door, founded on Oahu by the Gray brothers.

Through the decades, the dealer expanded operations across the Hawaiian Islands, rebranding to Honsador Lumber in the 1960s.

Three decades later, the dealer added key building materials and created an innovative packaged home concept.

Today, Honsador remains an industry leader, serving as the premier manufacturer and supplier of building materials, engineered roof and floor truss systems, packaged homes, home plans, and additional services for construction professionals and homeowners.

Honsador Lumber operates nine locations in Hawaii, including three truss manufacturing facilities.

In addition to its island locations, Honsador has a sourcing facility on the mainland in Portland, Oregon. Honsador said the mainland branch provides its buyers and procurement experts firsthand access to the high-quality timber, lumber, and wood products.
