REPORT: Hardware store honors veterans

Pleasants Hardware of Richmond, Va., donated more than $15,000 to a charity dedicated to laying wreaths at the graves of veterans.

This time of year when families across America may have an empty seat at the dinner table because someone didn't make it home," Pleasants Hardware general manager Darrell Campbell, told ABC 8 News of Richmond, Va. "It was important to us to help get that message out that we can honor those that served and remember those that have fallen."

Pleasants Hardware is a 110-year-old retailer with multiple Virginia locations. It was acquired by Taylor’s Do it Centers of Virginia Beach in early 2016.

According to the report, the wreaths will be placed at Richmond National Cemetery and Arlington National Ceremony Dec. 15.
