Black & Decker signs deal with PlantSense

Black & Decker is set to launch a new line of PlantSense high-tech gardening tools under the Black & Decker name, according to an article in Venture Beat.

Under the deal, the San Francisco start-up company will gain wider distribution channels for its PlantSense and EasyBloom line of gardening sensors. Black & Decker this fall will launch the new line of plant sensors, which collects data about the soil, its moisture and other details and can be downloaded onto a computer for analysis.
