Hamilton Building Supply raising funds to battle Juvenile Diabetes

Hamilton Building Supply, the Hamilton, New Jersey-based prodealer, is running its second annual fundraiser to support the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) and drive to end Type 1 Diabetes.

November is Diabetes Awareness month and last year Hamilton was able to raise 33,000 for the JDRF.

Type 1 Diabetes is a disease shared by some 1.5 million Americans, it’s life long and there is no cure.  Type 1 Diabetics rely on daily doses of insulin, carb counting at every meal and constant blood sugar measuring to stay healthy.  Essentially, Type 1 Diabetics don’t have a functioning pancreas, so they rely on insulin and diabetic supplies to survive, which is very expensive, painful and challenging in so many ways.

This year the company is aiming to raise $50,000 for JDRF and Type 1 Diabetes research - $25,000 in donations, matched by $25,000 from Hamilton Building Supply.

Every donation received by Hamilton Building Supply will be matched $1 for $1, no matter the amount.  A link to Hamilton Building Supply’s fundraiser page on the JDRF website can be accessed here.

The New Jersey dealer plans to cap off the month of fundraising with an event at Killarney’s Publick House in Hamilton on Nov. 30 from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m.

The event will include live music, a silent auction, guest bartenders, and ultimately a good time for a great community, Hamilton Building Supply said.

Hamilton Building Supply has asked that the cause and event be shared with friends, customers, colleagues, and family.
