From Eisenwarenmesse, the every-other-year global gathering also known as the International Hardware Fair in Cologne, Germany, here are the Eisen Award winners.
The new Hazet torque screwdrivers have been designed for maximum ergonomics, functionality and precision. A large digital display ensures excellent, clear readability of the torque setting. Unique among torque screwdrivers, the free running allows for a better grip without reverse torque. A right, left and fixed ratchet function makes handling easier. The ergonomic 36-degree close-gap release generates a clearly perceptible and audible signal.

From Fein: Compact and powerful permanent magnet with vise for clamping various components on magnetic surfaces without the need for any tools. Magnetic vise with a jaw widget of 100 mm. The unique modular system ensures a secure hold in a very wide range of work situations and the right accessories can be added at any time.

The new Pronova cardboard cartridge uses paper instead of plastic. In Germany alone, around 100 million cartridges of silicone, glue, acrylic and other materials are sold every year. This corresponds to a total of 5,000 tons of plastic. The Pronova cardboard cartridge reduces plastic waste by 80 percent. The cartridge body is made of paper and cab e 100 percent recycled after use. Additionally, the product generates 53 percent fewer CO2 emissions during manufacturing.

The winners were selected by a jury of representatives from trade, research, media, design and retail.

The four-day event drew to a close March 6. More than 3,000 companies from 51 countries presented their innovations in the areas of tools, accessories, fixing and fastening technology, and building and DIY supplies in the Cologne exhibition halls.
