Floor & Decor's big finish
Fast-rising specialty home improvement retailer Floor & Decor closed the year on a strong note.
In the final week of December 2022, the Atlanta, Ga.-based company announced the official opening of four new locations.
The latest warehouse-format stores include openings in Brentwood, Tenn.; Rancho Cordova, Calif.; Pearland, Texas; and Ypsilanti, Mich. Each new location measures roughly 80,000 square feet with about 45 to 50 full-time and part-time employees.
During its third quarter of fiscal 2022, which ended Sept. 29, Floor & Decor opened new four new warehouse stores. At the closing of the quarter, the retailer operated 178 warehouse-format stores and 5 design studios.
Since, Floor & Decor has opened 12 new warehouse stores and one design center. The new Pearland location is the company’s 12th store in the greater Houston market while the Racho Cordova outlet is its 27th overall in California.
As is the case with all Floor & Decor openings, the company has reached out to area professionals at each of the new communities it serves. Invitations for “PRO VIP Grand Opening” events are extended to builders, contractors, architects, designers, remodelers, flooring installers, and realtors in the market.
Pros are given an opportunity to tour the stores while learning about Floor & Decor’s Pro Partners Services and Pro Premier Rewards programs.
“Building relationships with our local professionals is very important to us. Their success is our success,” said Cassie Futrell, chief executive merchant of the Rancho Cordova location. “The store tours and giveaways give us a chance to support our community and tell them about our PRO Premier Rewards and all the benefits it can bring to their business.”
Floor & Decor operates stores in 35 states.
