“The Do it Best team is committed to employee safety and has proven leaders within the warehouse and distribution industry,” said Todd Schultz, chief administrative officer for SCATS.

The Do it Best Mesquite, Nevada, distribution center has received recognition by the Safety Consultation and Training Section (SCATS) of the State of Nevada’s Division of Industrial Relations for the successful renewal of the Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program (SHARP).

“Our SHARP involvement helps boost the culture of safety within our warehouse,” said Cole Atwood, department manager. “Getting team members to ‘buy into’ safety can be a challenge, but being a SHARP-certified facility is just one way we ensure our 114 distribution center employees return home safely at the end of each day.”

Do it Best said its Mesquite warehouse has consistently earned this recognition since 2013, and its team in Mesquite continues its partnership with SCATS consultants to reinforce its commitment to employee safety and strive toward continuous growth.

The company said its Mesquite warehouse is part of an elite group of businesses that have achieved SHARP status by maintaining exemplary health and safety protocols.

Participation in the no-cost program provides incentives and support to employers to develop, implement and continuously improve programs at their worksites.

By taking these proactive measures, businesses can reduce accident costs and ensure compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration's (OSHA) regulations.

“The Do it Best team is committed to employee safety and has proven leaders within the warehouse and distribution industry,” said Todd Schultz, chief administrative officer for SCATS. “Their dedication to their employees’ health and well-being is outstanding and SCATS is proud to partner with them.”
