The Vanguard 300 engine features standard integrated cyclonic air filtration, said the firm, that “doubles your equipment’s air filter replacement intervals to 600 hours.”

Briggs & Stratton announced it is bringing a range of its electrification and commercial engine solutions for the rental market.

In addition to debuting the Vanguard 300 single-cylinder engine, the firm will also be bringing out the swappable 48V 1.5kWh (Si 1.5) commercial battery, along with other motors and controllers.

“As owners work to make their rental fleets more profitable, scalable and reliable on the go, Vanguard is innovating flexible, brand-agnostic electric solutions that serve a diverse range of segments within the rental market,” said David Frank, SVP and president of electrification at Briggs & Stratton.

It includes 3-in-1 controls with the new TransportGuard that controls throttle, ignition and fuel to prevent mixing of fuel and oil during transport, said the company.

The Si 1.5 commercial battery creates a standardized power solution for the rental market that can be used across multiple applications, said the firm.

The self-contained diecast aluminum package has a handle on top that gives operators the ability to swiftly swap freshly charged packs from application to application.

The battery’s lithium-ion chemistry delivers a 1,000-cycle lifespan, said the company.

“Electrification offers a range of efficiencies that the rental market can greatly benefit from,” said Frank.
