Benjamin Obdyke launches new online presence

1/27/2021

Benjamin Obdyke, the supplier of moisture management products, ridge vents, and rainscreens, has relaunched its website with new features, eye-catching aesthetics, and enhanced functionality.

The website sports a clean, modern look while maintaining straightforward navigation. New features focus on improving the product selection process and increasing customer education on building science and a systems approach to the building envelope.

As with the development of many of its products, Benjamin Obdyke sought feedback from key customers as part of the website redevelopment process.

The feedback was overwhelmingly positive that the original website was easy to navigate and use, so the marketing team focused on providing a  fresh look while maintaining the simplicity of the original design that customers appreciated. They then added easier access to the company’s growing video library and other educational resources, implemented new product selection tools, and improved mobile functionality.

Among the key features:

• System selector tool: Visitors answer a few quick questions to help identify which protection  systems are the best fit for their project.

• Easy access: Customer support and samples in one or two clicks.

• Simple navigation: Downloadable product literature in three clicks or less, dealer locator featured on all pages, and sticky navigation on product pages for easy wayfinding.

• Expanded resources: Robust resource library includes educational articles on products, best  practices, and building science; a growing lineup of instructional videos; technical drawings; and more.

“There’s a strong need for education and product installation support due to labor shortages and other forces within our industry. We felt the time was right to redesign and provide enhancements to help our customers identify which system fits their project goals and connect the products that work together,” said Tara Murray, director of marketing for Benjamin Obdyke. “The website refresh was on deck before COVID-19, but we’re glad we were able to move forward with this project in spite of those obstacles. It is even more critical to have support resources accessible to our customers when they  need it in these challenging times.”
