American Ground Screw receives ICC approval

6/19/2020

American Ground Screw, Inc. announced that it has produced first product certified under the International Code Council’s (ICC) acceptance criteria for screw foundation systems (AC443).

According to American Ground Screw, with the certification, U.S. builders will be able to use the simple but powerful technology to build foundations with a fraction of the labor, expense, and environmental impact.

“For so many applications, the ground screw is easier, faster, and cheaper than concrete,” says AGS General Manager Kirk Martin. “And unlike ICC-certified helical pile products, the American Ground Screw does not require installation certification, and is therefore available for anyone to install.”

An alternative to concrete and deep foundations, American Ground Screw said that its solutions create strong, safe, long-lasting foundations for nearly any building application in any landscape.
