Several of the industry’s top building material suppliers have been named to the Inc. 5000 2022 list.

This includes SRS Distribution ranked at 4009, Kodiak Building Partners ranked at 4106, and 84 Lumber listed at 4348. All three companies are listed within the construction category.

The Inc. 5000 lists the fastest-growing, privately held companies in the United States and was first introduced in 1982.

“Our rapid growth throughout tough economic times has been made possible by our wonderful team, and I want to take this opportunity to congratulate the entire Kodiak Family on this accomplishment,” said Steve Swinney, CEO of Kodiak Building Partners. “While this selection to the Inc. 5000 list solidifies our standing among the fastest-growing companies in the U.S., the growth of Kodiak is far from over. As an organization, we will continue to partner with the

best local building product distribution businesses across the country and invest in our operations and teams to ensure the incredible growth we have seen continues well into the future.”

Based in Colorado, Kodiak was founded in 2011 with the intent of acquiring family-run businesses in the building material sales and distribution industries. Over the last 11 years, Kodiak has acquired over 105 locations and operates in more than 20 states.

Inc. reports that Kodiak has seen 115% sales growth in the past three years

According to Inc. 5000’s research, 84 Lumber has experienced 103% three-year growth and the company has moved up 569 spots since being named on the list in 2021.

“To be recognized once again on the Inc. 5000 list is a tremendous honor, and we owe it all to the incredible associates at 84 Lumber,” said 84 Lumber President Maggie Hardy Knox. “We would not be here today if it was not for each and every associate, vendor and customer driving 84 Lumber’s business to a greater success each year.”

84 Lumber said that it is experiencing another successful year of growth after closing out 2021 with nearly double the sales since the previous year. Today, 84 Lumber has more than 7,000 associates across the country and is on track to break sales records once again in 2022.

The prodealer operates more 250 locations in over 30 states.

SRS Distribution, the McKinney, Texas-based roofing and building products distributor, has experienced 121% growth during the past three years.

Founded in 2008, SRS Distribution has grown to more than 610 locations across 44 states.

The Texas company's strategy has primarily been focused on growth through acquisitions while retaining the acquired company's talent and regional brand name.

Earlier this month, SRS Distribution acquired De Bel Roofing Supply near the San Francisco Bay market.
