Westlake Ace Raleigh store general manager Scott Jones readies for a grand opening weekend, starting with a board cutting ceremony Thursday morning, March 23.

The Westlake Ace Hardware at Pinecrest Pointe shopping center in Raleigh, North Carolina, will host a special board cutting event March 23, and a grand opening March 24-26.

The event will also be an opportunity for the community to meet longtime Westlake Ace associate Scott Jones, the store’s general manager, who first joined the company in 1996.

“I look forward to welcoming everyone to the new store and showing our friends and customers how we live the Ace Helpful Promise every day by delivering reliable service, helpful advice, and the products they need to preserve and maintain their homes,” said Jones.

Jones comes to the job naturally said the firm.

“Being the only son of a mechanic, I was around tools at a very young age while helping my dad fix things around the house,” he said, “so it wasn’t a surprise that I took a job where I could help people with their own household projects.”

In his spare time, Jones enjoys lawn work and – not surprisingly – fixing things around the house.

His store – the new 14,000 square foot location opening this coming weekend – will offer services such as key cutting and automotive key fob replacement, propane tank exchange, knife sharpening, carpet cleaner rental, screen repair and more, said the company.

A ceremonial board cutting by Westlake Ace leadership and representatives from the Raleigh Chamber of Commerce will be held at 8 a.m. on Thursday, March 23. A light breakfast will be served.

Westlake Ace, based in Kansas City, Missouri, said it currently owns and operates 11 other stores in North Carolina; five located in the Raleigh-Durham metro area, and six in the Outer Banks.
