True Value names new supply chain leader

True Value Company announced that Dario Skocir will join the company as the VP of supply chain on Feb. 22.

Skocir has more than 30 years of experience of transforming operations with innovative technologies and process related to warehouse, delivery and fleet, the company said. He joins True Value from US Foods.

“As we look to position ourselves for continued growth, we are hyper-focused on ensuring we have the right talent in place to execute our strategic supply chain transformation,” said True Value Company CEO Chris Kempa. “Dario brings over 30 years of experience in developing and implementing best in class operations and will be a tremendous asset as we continue to be hardware retailers’ primary partner for their end to end product and supply chain needs.”

Skocir joins the distributor from US Foods where he spent the last 12 years, most recently as the senior VP, distribution field operations. In this role he was responsible for distribution, managing all functions related to warehousing, delivery, fleet, technology, strategy, and mergers and acquisitions. Prior to that, he spent many years at UPS accountable for multiple 24-hour package distribution operations facilities in the US network.

True Value also announced Lyndsi Lee, senior VP of supply chain, has decided to leave the company for a new opportunity. “Throughout Lyndsi’s six years with True Value, she was instrumental in implementing several strategic operational processes including JDA Supply and Demand Planning which led to increased efficiencies while working to maintain fill rates,” the company said.
