Throwback Thursday: Football hero
The death of television personality and American football coach John Madden produced an outpouring of remembrances of the larger-than-life figure.
Shortly after Madden's death at the age of 85, the photo below was discovered in an HBSDealer folder labeled "miscellaneous photos."
That's Nick Napier senior trader for LBM in Ace Hardware's Lake Oswego, Ore. regional office; John Madden; and Tami Johnson, Ace's regional manager for LBM in Lake Oswego.
The photo appears to be taken at an Ace Hardware convention in the mid 1990s.
Neither Napier nor Johnson could be tracked down. But Ace Hardware Corp. provided the following video to demonstrate the kind of work Madden did on the sidelines for the hardware co-operative.
