Stine lends a hand to charities

 Stine Home & Yard recently presented a check for $10,000 to Sister Miriam MacLean, Director of Catholic Charities of Southwest Louisiana, located in Lake Charles. “We understand the great need in our area following the hurricanes, coupled with the pandemic,” said Dennis Stine, President and CEO of Stine, “and we want to do our part to help.”

Sister Miriam explains that Catholic Charities helps individuals and families with rent, utilities, rebuilding from disasters, funeral expenses, medication expenses and other unexpected expenses to help people get back on their feet. She also added that the organization is in the beginning stages of exploring the possibility of a men’s homeless shelter.

Stine was awarded the 2014 Golden Hammer Retailer of the Year Award at the National Hardware Show.
