STIHL adds e-commerce leadership

Robert G. Jenson has been named the director of e-commerce of STIHL.

“We are pleased to welcome Rob to the STIHL Inc. family in this important position,” said Chris Keffer, vice president of sales and marketing.

“STIHL takes pride in taking a customer-first approach. Rob will lead our effort to better serve our customers by crafting e-commerce solutions that further integrate our network of authorized local STIHL dealers and deliver a frictionless experience in our omnichannel approach,” said Keffer.

Jenson will report to the STIHL Inc. vice president of sales and marketing and is responsible for all end-to-end aspects of e-commerce business operations in the U.S. with a focus on a seamless customer experience in the digital space, said the firm.

“I am excited to step into this role at STIHL Inc. and build on the momentum STIHL has established in the e-commerce space,” said Jenson.

In his role, Jenson will ensure accountabilities for all aspects of the company’s e-commerce business including performance marketing, fulfillment, customer service, payments, merchandising and data analytics.

“The authorized local STIHL dealer network has been the foundation of the company’s success over the years, and I look forward to enhancing the customer experience through omnichannel solutions, while ensuring we still provide the quality products and expertise customers have come to expect from STIHL and STIHL dealers,” said Jensen.

He will collaborate with the global e-commerce team, said the company, to further align global business plans and develop online sales initiatives while effectively localizing strategic plans tailored to reflect the evolving needs of the U.S. market.

Jenson joins STIHL Inc. after eight years at Whirlpool Corporation where he served in a variety of management positions, most recently as the director of direct-to-consumer and digital properties.

Jenson received a Bachelor of Science in accounting and a Master of accountancy from Brigham Young University, and a Master of business administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
