Stat of the Week: Showerheads and demand
Bathroom upgrade projects usually include high expectations.
STAT: Average selling prices of showers and showerhead and faucet combos both increased, but unit sales of showers still grew 69% and demand for the shower/faucet combos grew 7%.

ANALYSIS: “Over the course of the pandemic, we learned that if your product was in demand you were able to break the traditional price and promotion model,” said Joe Derochowski, home industry advisor at NPD Group. “This was true, in part because our needs and wishes drove our behaviors, product availability, product mix and innovation – when consumers are working on a project like a bathroom upgrade, they want to get the best result possible.”
