SRS Distribution acquires Metro Roofing & Building Supply
SRS Distribution Inc. has acquired Metro Roofing & Metal Supply Co., Inc., a distributor of commercial, residential, and metal roofing products with two locations in Tennessee.
Based in Nashville, Tenn., Metro was founded in 1980 by Pete Spain and his son-in-law, Robert Link, and is run today by Robert’s children, Kevin Link, Karen Dickerson, and Kim Schwind.
Metro operates a second location in Chattanooga and currently employs a team of 30 people. SRS said that Link, Dickerson, and Schwind will continue to lead the company’s dedicated team under the Metro banner.
SRS Distribution has maintained a policy of retaining the banners of the companies it acquires. According to the McKinney, Texas-based roofing and building product distributor, the tradition ensures continuity and consistency for customers, suppliers, and employees.

SRS Distribution is one of the fastest-growing U.S. building product distributors. The company operates more than 660 locations across 44 states and has expanded through both acquisitions and the opening of greenfield locations.

The financial terms of this acquisition were not disclosed.
SRS Distribution is a portfolio company of Leonard Green & Partners, L.P. and Berkshire Partners LLC.
In August, SRS acquired De Bel Roofing Supply. Located north of the San Francisco Bay market, De Bel Roofing is a distributor of residential and commercial roofing with two locations.
